Creating the Culture is a monthly digital magazine made for creators under the age of 30. Featuring real influencers, stories, and advice, the magazine was founded by Samuel Thompson and Terry Henderson in the summer of 2020. Their mission is to help young creators unlock their full potential through stories, advice, and insights of real-life entrepreneurs. I was recruited as a designer to solidify their branding through visual layout and type design.

When discussing the magazine's overall aesthetic, the client wanted a "clean, sleek" look that had a large focus on photographs, since it was a magazine that features young influencers. They cited foundr as an inspiration, sending photos (right) of magazine covers and content to me for reference.
Since this was planned to be a recurring issue, I created a template of basic wireframes to reference off of for when we put content in. I worked with another designer (who was in charge of the covers) to decide on a color palette. Yellow was chosen as a highlight color because the client emphasized that the overarching topic of the issue would be "Positivity". Each issue is planned to have a different highlight color.
