Palette Tea Garden is a modern Chinese restaurant owned by the Ng family, which opened the doors to its first restaurant, Palette Tea House, in early April 2019. One year later, a space in Hillsdale Shopping Center was purchased and Palette Tea Garden began construction. Palette Tea Garden had its soft opening in July 2020.

PROCESS

The client requested a design similar to Palette Tea House's lighting (see picture below) for the lanterns in the new San Mateo restaurant. I chose a cloud design inspired by the lobby (second picture), which featured a wooden wall of a dragon in the clouds. This design was later used as a background in menus.
